The Hollywood stars are all set to launch a movie “Journey to Space”. The movie is entirely based on the first test flight of the NASA’s Orion Spacecraft.
The 3D movie is a joint effort of K2 communication and Giant Screen Films. The movie unfolds the story of next space exploration mission. Toyota along with the Boeing Company shows the future landing of astronauts on Mars
Computer animation of Orion capsule, Space Launch System Heavy lift rocket and Olympus has been utilized in the movie. Moreover, a few astronauts who took part in the mission are involved in the movie as well.
Some of the parts of movie are filmed at the NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Bigelow Aerospace and Johnson Space Center. Bigelow Aerospace is the place where scientists designed the parts of Olympus.
Bob Kresser, the CEO of K2 films stated that the chief purpose is to portray the actual incidents that happened during the mission.
Furthermore, the “Journey to Space” also tell the viewers about the role of shuttle program in this mission. The last part of the movie depicts the significance of space shuttle in the future mission Mars.
The world premiere of the movie would be organized at the National Air and Space Museum located at Washington DC. Afterwards, the movie would be released in numerous other cinemas of the United States. The movie is scheduled to reach the cinema in summers of 2015.
