Recently, the New York Times reported that, GOOGLE, the search and advertising company bought online poll company Polar to boost up its social network on Thursday. The “purchase” deal pulled in founder Luke Wroblewski and Polar’s engineering and designer teams.
Wroblewski published his book “Mobile First” a few years ago and that’s why recognized for his mobile design work. In this book, he argues for designing websites and applications for mobile use first.
Polar is actually New York based company. It carried out polls for media companies from HBO to TechCrunch. According to a published article, the company will impede taking new customers following the acquirement, sooner or later shuttering the business to focus on Google+ projects, Google’s Polar, Mountain View-based social network has fight backed to gain grip, had somewhere between 359 million and 540 million active users by the end of year 2013. In the meantime, according to statistics, social networking company Facebook Inc. has 1.28 billion.
