The Lewis has just started with the preparations of creating the general awareness breast Cancer Month. For this purpose, schools and businesses in Lewis County have been asked to “Paint the County Pink”. And perhaps the organizers at the Lewis County General Hospital has said that the business facility or school with the best pink painting will also win prizes and a trophy and tickets on 21st on the 7th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner organizing in Lowville Elks Lodge.
Even though, all businesses and schools located in the Lewis County region have been encouraged to paint the county pink and the concerned entities can get their membership forms at the Lewis County General Hospital’s website www.lcgh.net . The interested parties can also call the hospital’s community relations office for more details.
The Theme decided for this event is PINK symbolizing to ‘Spread the Hope’, Find the Cure. The management is allowed to get the entries till September 19, and afterwards all businesses and schools have to finalize their paints and decorations by October 6, through which time judges will move round to assess color themes and award marks. The entities that are participating will be judged based on their painted theme pink color, overall impression, detail to craftsmanship, and uniqueness of ingenuity or creativeness.
It has been decided by the managing authorities that all the participating entities including churches, business offices, schools, and other organizations will be awarded winnings in three categories: organizations with over 50 staffs, businesses with lesser than 50 employees, and schools. And as per an oncology guide at Lewis County General Hospital, “chances are breast cancer will touch your life at some point. Paint the County Pink is an inspirational and amusing event to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
