Covered by the soft darkness of a moonless night, a large group of chimpanzees makes a leisurely raid of a Ugandan farm outside of Kibale National Park. According to the New Scientist, in spite of the potentially mutilating traps and ensnares used in the region, the chimps seem quite at ease, even stopping for bouts of sexual intercourse. These apes usually stay active during the day, though the nighttime raid reflects their ability to adapt to human activity.
