Twitter expands its creator revenue program that will allow influencers to make money out of their activity on the platform. The influencers can access the program through studio.twitter.com, or through downloading the Twitter Engage app.
The company announced that the social media celebrities would be able to monetize content on a larger scale through the Amplify Push Program which will be active in the US.
The program will include a new revenue share model, flexibility, and a non-exclusive option. This means that the creators can choose to use the content for money on other platforms as well.
The users will have the possibility to run ads in front of their content. The action will be repaid through a share of the money received through the ad program. The option is an addition to the program introduced by Twitter last year.
The company will have eligibility rules for accessing its creator revenue program.
The preroll ads will be added to a tweet or be a part of the videos. The new feature will help creators to earn money outside the Niche network, a way Twitter made creators and brands to get together and help each other in promoting social media talent on the platform.
Up to this moment, Niche works with almost 35,000 creators. Joining Niche will offer the option to collaborate with prestigious brands, attend meetings with other creators and access analytics throughout the large social networks.
The feature is presented as being very simple, and the influencers will be able to manage and publish their content from mobile devices or desktops.
The revenues will be split 70-30 between the influencers and Twitter. The percentage is higher than the one YouTube offers their creators. However, Twitter will do a screening of what influencers will be able to access the creator revenue program.
Twitter also announced some new changes to the Media Studio. The modifications will include media library for images, GIFs, and videos, a new tweet schedule option, planning features, support for team management, and a multi-account support. Twitter also promises improvements in upload performance and stability.
The company has also made upgrades to their video features, as it now allows a longer duration for their clips. The users will have new options for exploring the videos, and creators will have innovative ways to connect with their followers.
