Facebook unveiled its new app for iOS known as Rooms. This new application will give a chance to people to share their ideas on a particular subject with other like minded users.
The app permits users to form a “room” on any topic. They can customize the color, photos and icons of that room. Moreover, it will allow the users to post video and photos that will appear in the room’s feed.
It is almost similar to the previous apps present on Facebook and Instagram apart from the option of topic.
Although Facebook now follows a real name policy, but in the Room users can enter with fake user names. Moreover, Users can set the policies of every room according to their choice.
Users can share their rooms with the help of invitations such as QR codes. They merely have to upload photo in order to send the invitations to everyone.
Josh Miller, the co founder of Facebook informed that this new app will offer a great chance to people to show their real side of personality. People would not have to worry about their reputations among their Facebook Friends and Family
Moreover, Miller stated that the basic aim of this app is to connect users with the people whom they do not know in the real life.
Some of the Rooms of Facebook that instantly gained popularity are beat boxing, home-cooked meals, Kendama, Kicks and much more.
The Room has recently launched by Facebook Creative Labs. It creates new mobile apps to introduce different ways of connecting people who have the same interests.
