Google Pixel XL and HTC 10 are having a smartphone clash.
Google and HTC enjoy a successful partnership as these companies have developed together many high-tech devices including the Google Pixel XL and HTC 10.
While the HTC 10 comes with an all-metal casing, Google will not retain the Nexus series as it will continue with the Pixel line-up which features a metal look of polished glass. Although these smartphones have several similarities, each of them has some specific characteristics. We will discuss the main features of these high- quality devices to find out which is the best of the two.
Even if both of them come with a QHD display, HTC is backed by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3, whereas Google Pixel XL is enhanced with the latest Gorilla Glass 4 for additional durability.
Under the hood, they function on a 64-bit Snapdragon processor 820 on HTC 10 and 821 on Pixel XL, while both use the Adreno 530 CPU to boost graphic performance. They sport 4GB of RAM (DDR 4) and 32 GB of built-in internal storage which can be expanded to maximum 128 GB with a microSD card.
Regarding photo quality, HTC 10 features a 12-megapixel main shooter, whereas Google Pixel XL has a 12.3-megapixel rear camera. The HTC model has a 5-megapixel selfie cam, while Pixel XL comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing cam.
Although they are powered by non-removable batteries, these models take just around an hour and a half to charge. The Google device has a 3,450 mAh battery compared to HTC 10 which has a 3,500 mAh battery, so there is just a slight difference between the two of them.
For added security, they both come with a fingerprint sensor while users can also make mobile payments. Other additional features include NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi, and the latest Type-C port for quick charging and lightning speed data transfer.
There is much to like about these two smartphones which are designed to meet the requirements of every customer and to tackle the two dominant competitors on the smartphone market such as Samsung and iPhone which enjoy the largest customer-based communities.
Apart from Google Pixel XL and HTC 10, the two companies are already working on developing other devices that will make quite an impression on the market.
