Philips prepared a new collection of health devices which includes smart watches, smart thermometers, scales, and a blood pressure monitor. All the items are sold separately on the company’s website and Amazon.
The health devices are connected with the Phillips HealthSuite App. Users are able to collect and analyze the recorded data, which can be very helpful for people with chronic diseases or for those who want to keep track on their habits.
The Health Watch has the price of $249.99, and it contains an optical heart rate sensor, an accelerometer, and a monochrome display. The device is able to track the minutes of physical activity, the number of steps and the burned calories, and sleep patterns.
The watch can send an alert when it’s time to stand up and move, after a prolonged inactivity. It can automatically recognize activities and can monitor the heart and respiration rate while resting. When it comes to sleep tracking, the watch can tell how good the sleep was, how many times a person has woken up, and how much time it spends asleep.
The watch is 1 ATM resistant, which means it’s rainproof. The battery can last for four days, and the device can be charged in 30 minutes. It also has a unique interface.
The Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor compares the diastolic and systolic blood pressure with the World Health Organization standards. The device can be used by two people, as it registers its users separately. It charges through a DC charger. Another option is a wrist-worn blood pressure monitor, which is also cheaper and can be charge through a USB cable.
The Body Analysis Scale can measure weight, calculate the body mass index and it estimates the body fat. The data can be stored for eight different users, so it’s perfect for family and friends.
The Ear Thermometer measures body temperature in just two seconds. It has an alarm that signals when the measured temperature reaches the dangerous level of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. The thermometer can be used in several locations on the body, such as orally or on the forehead.
While other producers decided to bundle their health devices, Phillips offers the buyer the option to choose and pick just one product, depending on their necessities. The approach can make the company come closer to a public that is interested in just monitoring their health and does not have a chronic medical condition. The attitude will most likely attract a lot more clients.
