Iowa Counselor Tried to Get Her Client Drunk
Aracely Shutters is a 45-year-old social worker specialized in emotional therapy. The woman was recently arrested and charged with exploitation of a client after she tried to engage in sexual relations with a female client.
According to the woman’s affidavit, on the 4th of December, under the pretense of holding an emotional counseling session, Shutters called and asked her to meet at the counselor’s residence. The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous for the duration of Shutters’ trial, told the police investigators that she hadn’t met her counsel outside of her office.
Following her patient’s arrival, the counselor asked the woman to get undressed and get into the hot tub she previously prepared for her. Reluctant at first, the patient got into the tub, thinking its part of her therapy.
While lying there and discussing her emotional issues with her therapist, the Iowa counselor allegedly poured her alcohol in an attempt to get the woman drunk. Things became even more unconformable as Shutters began to kiss the woman’s breasts, inner thigh, and groin area.
Shutters suddenly stopped and told her patient that she doesn’t like this turn of events, and it would be for the best if they would stop seeing each other. The woman told the authorities that the very next day, the Iowa counselor texted and called her a couple of time to apologize for her unprofessional conduct.
Shutters was later arrested and charged with exploitation by a counselor. She paid her $5,000 bond and will be expected in a court on the 2nd of February.
