In a Hawaiian volcano six people will live as if they are staying on the Planet Mars. It is considered as one of the second biggest volcanoes that is approximately 36 foot diameter geodesic.
Recently, NASA launched a new Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation. The chief goal of this study is to determine how many days a group of five or six people can survive without any social interaction.
Eight months are the total time period of this experiment.
The entire study is based upon the idea of future NASA mission for Mars. NASA intends to send nearly six people to Mars, where they have to spend almost 500 days on the Red Planet. This mission is planned sometime in the year 2030.
Kimberly Binsted, professor of information and computer science stated that this study is conducted to figure out the social as well as psychological alterations a man experience in the state of isolation.
Sometimes, isolation gives birth to severe depression and personality changes in an ordinary human being. Generally, it takes several months for a patient like this to behave normally. Therefore, the main purpose of this experiment is to observe the ways through which these astronauts can deal with major issues.
It is a completely new experience for researchers and some of them are even taking it as an appearance in a reality show.
Moreover, he stated that NASA would not send this group of people without any this observation.
