Google’s smart watch system has been in the market for a few years and while it has seen a time consuming start this year, things are beginning to get better for the company. Android Marshmallow is now making its way to the majority of smart watches available in stores and important companies, such as Fossil, have lately presented new timepieces.
Now, Qualcomm with watch manufacturer Nixon have joined their forces to make the Mission. This is the the first action watch operating on Android Wear and that can resist at a submersion of 300 feet. Qualcomm is offering its recent Snapdragon 2100 processor, while Google offers the newest form of Wear mobile OS for the new version of smart watch.
Nixon Mission was made for the action customers out there, so not only its outside looks rugged, but also its internals were deigned this way. On the exterior, the watch is wrapped in 316L grade steel frame and developed using thermoplastic material, while coming with a fully-rounded AMOLED screen.
This device will be presented in several different colors and its AMOLED display is able to render replicas. These watch faces are borrowed from Nixon’s proprietary 51-30 models, like the Sentry, Player, Ranger or the Unit modern designs.
The dual-layer rubber strap will be delivered with the smart watch as well, this confirming the wearable’s active style. Under the case, the Snapdragon 2100 chip will be operating the display, and there are plenty of applications involved that can help individuals to take advantage of the fantastic elements of this device.
Nixon is adding its dedicated Mission application to the hardware as well and the software is running on Snocountry and Surfline systems thanks to the integrated collaboration with Trace. Their Mission program will allow customers to see weather conditions for hiking the mountains or surfing the waves, but also allows them to monitor their operation and trips with Trace’s app.
It appears that the Objective smart watch represents the first project that brings a particular wearable for a particular kind of customer, while also being pretty good looking. This watch will be available only later these months, but the organization is displaying it during various tech occasions held these days.
