emoji keyboardA new emoji keyboard, which may be a much-needed piece of hardware nowadays, is currently available, at a price tag starting from $80.

The Bluetooth wireless keyboard was developed by EmojiWorks, a company headquartered in Austin, Texas. It’s the first time that a physical keyboard specifically designed for emojis has been created and placed for sale.

The new peripheral device is strikingly similar to Apple’s wireless keyboard, except for the fact that it uses plastic instead of aluminium. It was invented in an effort to revamp the classic keyboard, which only allows users to type using letters, numbers, punctuation and special symbols.

Nowadays, the language of Internet includes new manners for people to share their emotions and thoughts, and emojis are an essential part of this contemporary vocabulary.

Promoted under the motto “Finally a keyboard that speak your language”, the hardware promises to give its users “emoji superpowers”, by offering the possibility to type emojis 10 times faster than friends and family.

Thanks to this newly updated QWERTY keyboard, users can save precious time, by not having to forage in vain for the desired emoji on their screens. Instead, they can find the perfect way to express their moods or reactions right at their fingertips, literally.

The keyboard includes two AAA batteries, and is operated using EmojiWorks software, which can easily be installed on the client’s device. The regular version, with 47 common emojis, costs $79.95 now, while a Plus version offering double the amount of emojis retails at $89.95.

In addition, there is a Plus model, which costs $99.95 and features more than 120 emojis, including facial expressions, common objects, animals, types of weather and so on.

Also, the Pro and Plus versions include skin tone modifiers, so that emojis can be further personalized, according to the user’s wishes.

In order to activate Emoji mode, one need only press the emoji option key, and then the string of smiley faces and other pictographs will be ready to access.

As the keyboard’s creators have explained, the device is perfectly adapted for laptops, tablets or desktop computers, using either of the following 3 operating systems: Windows 10, iOS 9.1 (on iPhones and iPads) or Mac OS X El Capitan version 10.11.1.

For now, only a limited number of Emoji Keyboards are available, so those interested in buying this product are advised to pre-order it as soon as they can.

According to estimations made by company representatives, shipping will begin as early as December. Buyers can also encourage their friends to purchase this product, and for each successful referral $5 will be credited back to their card.
