We have great news for Harry Potter fans, as a mobile RPG based on the story of the beloved wizard will soon get on your phones. The game is developed by Jam City, a gaming studio well-known for developing mobile titles, and is created through a partnership with Warner Bros.
A new Harry Potter RPG is in the making
If you waited all your life to receive your Hogwarts letter, now it’s the perfect time to see how it is to enroll at the school of witchcraft. After starting the collaboration with Warner Bros, Jam City received the license which allowed it to develop a Harry Potter game.
In Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, you can create your own character and then get sorted into one of the Hogwarts houses. Afterwards, you can choose to attend any class you like, and undergo training to become whatever type of wizard you like. The game offers you all the curricular activities available in the real Hogwarts universe. Of course, all your favorite professors will be there, and you can even test your skills against other players in the Dueling Club.
The game will stay true to the original story
There haven’t been many details released on the Harry Potter game, but it seems the action will take place sometime before the story in the novels. In case you are worrying this title will ruin the story and will bring some unwanted details, then you should stay calm. The two writers who created the back story of the game have been approved beforehand by J.K. Rowling herself.
The game will be launched under a special label of Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, called Portkey Games. This label is specialized in releasing Harry Potter titles, which allow players to see how it is to be part students at their favorite wizardry school. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery should be available next year across most app stores, including Google Play, iTunes, and Amazon.
