In 2013, the 45-year-old woman came to know that she had a had liver cancer and the doctor was informed her disease was incurable and dangerous so she decided to give his only kid in a trustworthy hands.
Tricia Seaman is a nurse who assisted care for Somers, and the two became good friends during the healing process that is why The mother told the nurse that no one was left in her family to care for her son, Wesley, after she died. Somers parents is not alive and each died from cancer many years ago, her only brother is not capable to take the child, and her ex-husband has no concern about the child.
Somers told the news channel that she said to Tricia, ‘If I expire can you take my son? Can you care for my son? She is the most trustful lady and I knew that is what I wanted.”
The Seaman and her husband have been already hopeful to adopt a son when the strange demand was made.
Dan Seaman told ABC affiliate WHTM that “In 20 years, I have never had a chance not to belief my wife’s heart, but after he found out about Somers’ demand, he and his wife were indomitable to discover a method to push through with the adoption.
The Seaman was visiting Somers when she admitted in the hospital for treatment and after the request was made, the both families decided to live together in order to know each other.
When Somer said her wish to Seaman, she agreed to take care his son and the couple took the kid into their house, situated in McAlisterville, where the child has been living since May. This was helped into start a new bond between them and the parents were adopted legally by fulfilling all the legal demands because its very important to the child’s future. Now Once Wesley is very happy with the new family and he is living with three teenage sisters and one 10-year-old brother.
