RihannaRihanna is known for her amazing skin, flawless body, and incredible vocal talents. At just 27 years old, she has accomplished so much. Already, she has made appearances for Armani, Gucci, and Balmain and graced the cover of countless magazines on a national and international level so it comes as no surprise that she would be chosen as the new face of Dior.

However, what makes this particular campaign different from others is that Rihanna will be the first black spokeswoman in history for Christian Dior, the largest luxury group in the world.

In addition to recently being awarded the title of Creative Director for Puma, Rihanna landed the cover of Harper’s Bazaar China, is starring in the animation of Home set to hit theaters, was voted the most played female on Spotify, and soon, her eighth studio album will be debuted. Rihanna is also the first artist to ever have six billion video views from film clips through VEVO.

Born as Robyn Rihanna Fenty in Barbados, Rihanna is set to star in the fourth episode of Dior’s Secret Garden video series. The print and film campaign is scheduled to run sometime this spring.

The third installment of the video series for the famed French fashion house was extremely successful. In fact, that series alone drew in over nine million hits on the company’s YouTube channel. According to critics, this fourth episode is expected to do even better.

As part of the luxury-rich campaign, top models from all over the world will parade around the palace of Versailles while wearing gorgeous Dior designs but the star of the campaign is Rihanna.

For the Dior campaign, she will be among some of Hollywood’s greatest talents and current faces of the luxury brand to include Natalie Portman, Jennifer Lawrence, and Marion Cotillard.

Being the first black spokeswoman for Dior is a major achievement and something that will open doors for more black women in the future. Rihanna may not yet realize the full impact of this role but it is definitely a game-changer.

In 2013, Deborah took things forward by starting her own blog and contributing to various news related websites. Currently, she covers a broad area of subjects and topics from various fields.
