Samsung Galaxy 6: iPhone 6 May Have Finally Met its Match

Samsung Galaxy 6 - iPhone 6 May Have Finally Met its MatchTech critics have recently reviewed Samsung’s Galaxy 6 models, which are expected to hit the stores April 10, and strongly believe that the Korean company finally managed to come up with a real alternative to its major competitor’s iPhones.

Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are entirely different from previous models and, although their India release, was delayed critics have already tested the devices. And their reviews were positive.

Tech pundits were impressed by the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge’s enhanced design. Both smartphones have completely redesigned architecture, while they are also very light. The six-millimeter-thin Galaxy S6 weighs 138g, while the 7-millimeter-thin S6 Edge doesn’t weigh more than 132 g. Furthermore, the S6 Edge has a very appealing design that is both refreshing and unique.

One of the tech experts described the new Galaxy S6 as an eye-candy “stunning device” that is very pleasing to hold.

“If you had told me a year ago I would use the word “stunning” to describe a Galaxy phone, I would have called you crazy,”

the same expert added.

Yet, experts acknowledge that some of Galaxy 6 Edge’s features are only good to look cool such as the ability of turning the main screen off while you can still tap the phone’s side for notifications or other info.

But, Samsung’s new smartphones impressed about everybody with their display quality. Both models sport a latest-generation AMOLED display with a 577ppi pixel density and 2560 X 1440 resolution. The Edge has also a dual edge display. Both devices were praised for their enhanced displays, sharp contrast ratio, and color accuracy.

Experts claim that the revamped versions of Galaxy phones mix the best features of both LCD and AOMLED display technology, which can prove really useful for users that use to travel a lot or use their phones outdoors. Experts were also impressed by the new models’ brightness level, which was the best ever on a smartphone screen display.

But the glass displays aren’t just eye-appealing. Instead they are also very sturdy since they both use the high scratch-resistant and impact-proof Gorilla Glass 4 technology.

Both devices incorporate a 5MP front camera and a 16MP rear camera that seem to perform even better than iPhone 6 Plus’ camera, experts claim. One of those experts only complained that in dim light some pictures tend to get a yellowish tint that can get pretty noticeable when you lighten things too much. But brighter pictures were sometimes sharper than those provided by a latest iPhone.

Experts even tested the S6 and S6 Edge’s quad-core processors running at 1.5 GHz and 2.1 GHz. Samsung’s multi-core scored a maximum 5,300, while HTC One M9’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 scored 3,527 and the dual-core iPhone 6 scored no more than 2,660.
Both S6 models’ processors have 3GB RAM that run on a 64-bit platform and are powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Additionally, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge support wireless charging but they also have a super-fast wired charging – you can get about 4 h battery power in less than 10 minutes of charging, which is about 1.5 times faster than previous Galaxy models.
