Senator Stan Rosenburg isn’t backing down against Boston’s bid for the 2024 Olympics. He wants to make sure the bid is not going to push the state over budget. In his effort to do so, they have hired an outside consultant to ensure that this is realistic or not. He adds that they will be no additional funding to help pay for the Olympics.
Boston 2024 is currently being funded by private donations and has come out saying that many officials will be paid high salaries in hopes to bring the Olympics back, one of them being former Gov. Deval Patrick who will receive $7,500 a day while traveling for the organization.
