soundhound's virtual assistantSome people may have believed that SoundHound already kicked the bucket, but they would be wrong. Even if its trademark application has been targeted on songs search in the last few years, this purpose will change for sure with the appearance of Hound in trial version.

This is an organic virtual assistant designed on the company’s exclusive system. Basically, SoundHound is competing with Google Now, Apple Siri or Microsoft Cortana. Rumors about Hound first appeared last summer when it started accepting programs for its beta edition.

Back then, SoundHound was looking forward to 1,000 evaluators, but in only a couple of months, it got 300,000 programs from all around the globe. Nowadays, not only is the Android edition available to everyone, but the firm has also launched an iOS form of SoundHound’s Virtual Assistant.

Furthermore, the organization has included two new associates to the system, incorporating Uber and Yelp to its application. Overall, Hounds got over 100 domains and services tied to it, twice the amount it had while the aervice was private

Said to be quicker and better than the current VAs, Hound uses voice identification technologies in that were designed with the company’s Houndify proprietary system. SoundHound’s officials informed people that while Cortana, Google Now and Siri have similar features, theirs are currently separated into two sections: voice-to-text or words-to-meaning.

They consider that this causes problems with rate and accuracy, since if the app gets it incorrect in voice-to-text, it will also have the incorrect feedback in the other phase. The experts also stated that SoundHound’s Virtual Assistant can comprehend more complicated queries, removing the need of abbreviating keyword-based concerns.

This means that people can ask questions that are more challenging and get the best answer. They want individuals to be smart customers, so no more simple questions as the ones for Siri or Google Now. During a trial, SoundHound ran through a series of complicated communications, beginning with questions about the weather for the day.

Then it got into a wide range of logic-determined queries that you would expect from regular people. The application was quick and was capable to comprehend each query from a correct perspective. In over half a year since its presentation, the virtual assistant has also extended from only 50 domains it was initially incorporated to the present 100.

They include climate, Forex interpretation, speech calling and text messaging, music, nutrition, traveling and guidelines, referrals, video queries, unit conversion, term interpretation and sports ratings.
