messenger

Facebook Inc. (FB) recently stated that their messenger app had exceeded 500 million monthly users. This messenger is Facebook’s first standalone app and was designed to offer users a quicker way to communicate but also allows for greater expressivity.

Peter Martinazzi, product management director for Facebook Inc., stated that the app can be used to communicate instantly because it is just as fast as sending an SMS. He highlighted the fact that Facebook Messenger gives users the possibility to be more expressive becausethey can communicate in a variety of ways, including by sending videos or stickers, taking and sending cell fees, making calls for free and even chatting with a group of people at the same time.

He continued to say that Facebook Inc. is continuously working to make Facebook Messenger faster and more reliable. Thus, the application is updated every two weeks, to make sure it continues to evolve and improve.

A Look at FB Messenger
Peter Martinazzi further stated that it was an exciting time for the company considering that more than half a billion people are using the app to communicate. However, he did say that it also represents a reminder of how much they still have to do.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook Inc., said he is very grateful to users because they are so loyal and patient and are so willing to contribute to the development of this app, which has become an important competitor in the messaging sector.

Business News for Facebook Inc.

Zuckerberg pointed out that the one thing people do more than social networking is to message. He believes that around 85 percent of people who spend time online will take advantage of Facebook messenger in a wide range of countries. However, he did say he believes that at least 90 to 99 percent of people in certain countries will still send SMSes.
