Slingshot, a Facebook’s app which is pretty similar to Snapchat has received a new update. The app was the second creation of “Facebook Creative Lab Division”. The social networking media rolled out the new app in the month of June.
The firm tried really hard to offer a safe environment to the users but in vain. The company added a new security feature in which all the picture and short video disappears once the user views it.
Moreover, facebook included a unique “send to receive” feature which became the biggest flop. In this feature users have to delete a message in order to send a new one. It was definitely an innovative feature but for every day use it was pretty annoying. At last, Facebook removed that feature.
Recently, Facebook announced that it is all set to entirely change the app. The company intends to give a complete new look to the application.
The new features will let users share photos and short videos in a feed instead of personal message. The camera will also display old pictures and videos in the section of most recent. However, the app will clean all the pictures after a short time period of 24 hours.
Additionally, the new version of Slingshot will allow users to follow others like Twitter. Users can turn on the special notification in which he will be informed whenever they sling a shot
