Forensic Experts Reveals: Sony Cyber Attack Was Pretty Unique

Sony Pictures Entertainment hired a private forensic expert to inspect the huge cyber attack.  The destructive cyber attack that shut down all the serves of the Sony.

The experts reveal that hacker is an extremely well organized group. They created a really unique way to get hold of all the network lines of the company.

Kevin Mandia, director of operation of FireEye used merely three words to describe the nature of the attack. He called it “unique”, “unprecedented” and “damaging”.

Madia claims that the attack was pretty unexpected for the company as it is quite different from the usual attacks. The chief aim of the attack was to destroy and unveils the confidential information of the company.

Sony is also working with other law enforcement agencies to determine the origin of the attack. Currently, the main focus of the firm is to stop the release of confidential documents on the internet.

The statement of Mandia will also fight with the criticism of people. Sony faced a lot of criticism on this incident. People said that the tech giant failed to protect its system from cyber assault.

The statement certainly answers a few questions regarding the attack. However, the statement did not shed any light on the damages of the company.  Investors are extremely curious to know how much damage the attack caused.

Investigators informed that attack damaged the entire network of Sony. It infested all the hard drives of the company’s computer. Hence, Sony needs to repair or replace them in order to continue the work.

Sony’s Playstation Experience Kicks Off In Las Vegas Today

As per the recent reports revealed, Sony’s Playstation Experience kicks off today in Las Vegas, with a keynote that begins at 10 AM PT. You can watch the live stream through Twitch to get all the activity, which ought to incorporate a great number of new game announcements, inclusive with some premature looks at the gameplay and cinematic of upcoming year’s greatest hits.

Gamers Weekly Recap: Microsoft puts price cut on Xbox One, GTA V to support 1080p on PS4

It’s going to be the talk of every gamer, Rockstar Games have announced that the upcoming release of its much awaited game Grand Theft Auto V on Sony’s PlayStation 4 would support 1080p graphics. The visuals as learnt by some are described as “glimmering.” The game is expected to release on November 18 for both PS4 and Xbox One gaming consoles. The PC variant would roll out next year.

Microsoft has announced a $50 price cut for the Xbox One. Xbox One was previously listed at all major outlets at $400, but after the price cut which comes in effect from November 2 i.e. tomorrow would see that all outlets adhere to sell it at $350. This is also valid for special edition bundles that come with copies of Sunset Overdrive, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Retailer Best Buy would start selling Call of Duty: Advance Warfare at exactly 12:01 am Eastern at its more than 800 stores across the U.S. on November 3.

This War of Mine, a game from a team of Polish developers has got a new trailer and a release date of November 14 through Steam and Game Republic for $20.

A study from SuperData reveals some interesting gender trends about gaming. The report shows that men play more Massively Multiplayer Online and First Person Shooter games while women on the other hand prefer mobile games and Role Playing Games.

Rugby 2015 has been delayed. The game was expected to roll out by the end of this year but now it would be released next year for all the major gaming consoles.

Analysts have predicted tough times for Call of Duty. Advanced Warfare will sell 40 percent fewer copies than Ghosts and a whopping 70 percent fewer copies than Black Ops II.

Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner announced this week that he has donated a collection of design notes, drawings, correspondence, business records, and software related to his best-known works (Karateka, Prince of Persia, and The Last Express) to The Strong museum in Rochester, New York. The works will be available to researchers at the The Strong’s research library, and also to the public in future exhibits.
