Twitch Wants to Implement Stream First Options Into Upcoming Games

March 15, 2016 By Germaine Hicks Leave a Comment

Twitch streamingLive-streaming system Twitch has presented a new feature that plans to ensure designers are developing its broadcasting abilities right into their upcoming games. The Stream First‘s objective is to offer live-streaming as an element of each game’s framework rather than just an additional part into it.

It could help game studios to take more into consideration the interaction between players and their audience or how that can represent a factor in the gaming activity. For players, this would indicate an entirely new vision associated with game playing.

They can, for instance, obtain in-game skills just by viewing another broadcaster. Twitch is saying how that can create unite groups by getting individuals to play together in order to reach a common objective or getting benefits for becoming the first individual to finish a certain mission.

It basically converts all gaming activities into some type of MMO, only without the disorder brought by it. Another element it includes is immediate feedback from the audience, which would represent a great method for any player to increase their fan base.

The streaming system already offers Twitch Plays, which is a number of activities that basically get performed via feedback from visitors seeing the streams. This may be done quickly with other game feature by applying this Stream First concept as well.

Amazon’s Lumberyard gaming engine is already presenting an incorporated streaming support in their free games. Its specialists say that they already have various Stream First activities to work on, such as Wastelanders, Superfight and Streamline, all of these displaying the different purposes of integrated streaming functions.

Streamline places players in a field where their games are set against the others’ and a limit of 15 people are allowed to simultaneously communicate with the streamer to decide the result. Wastelanders is Amazon’s turn-based activity that lets the broadcasters to join forces with their viewers and fight against other gamers and their followers.

Superfight represents a new card game that allows users to debate between them about who should win a theoretical fight against other people that have super heroes. Gamers and their supporters can utilize chats or four-way videos, with the audiences determining who must be the winner.

This is only the start of the company’s ideas. Stream First comes as an element of a bigger venture known as Developer Success, so Twitch will expect to go beyond Amazon’s and independent designers. It will entice big name marketers in the upcoming months and bring a new category of game playing.
