As per the official reports, two F/A-18 Hornet jets crashed in to the Western Pacific Ocean, and one pilot is still lost from Thursday.
According to the officials, the jets were working off the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier when they crashed and fell into the Pacific Ocean. “Initial reports indicate the two jets collided,” a Navy official, whose name wasn’t reported, told CNN.
One of them was saved and treated on board the aircraft carrier. When he was rescued, he’s in reasonable condition. The second pilot was still being searched by the U.S Navy rescue team, who confirmed the news that, “We are yet in search of pilot who went missing after two jets crashed in Pacific Ocean For as of late Thursday.” The U.S Navy installed a cruiser, a destroyer and helicopters to help in the search. Moreover, none of the two aircrafts were recovered yet. The crash goes off about 290 miles west of Wake Island, reported.
