Teen YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley died as a result of an undiagnosed medical condition, his family has revealed.
The 13-year old boy from Maryland passed away last Thursday, following an “unknown medical emergency”. He had been rushed to the hospital after Anne Arundel County Police and fire department staff were summoned to his home at around 7 p.m.
Ever since the announcement was made, speculations have circulated, given the fact that the boy was so young and yet it had been claimed that he had died of “natural causes”.
Therefore, law enforcement authorities have issued a press release, in order to remove any doubts regarding this matter. According to Ryan Frashure, Director of Media Relations, “there are no suspicious circumstances”, and as a result there is no need for a criminal investigation to be conducted.
A coroner will be performing an inquest in order to establish the exact cause of death, although no foul play has been identified.
The boy’s family has also released a statement on Monday night, stating that despite the fact that the teenager had appeared healthy, he actually suffered from a previously undetected medical condition. This was confirmed after several medical tests, although no details have been made public regarding the actual results.
“We’ll have more definitive answers in the coming weeks, but ask that you help us celebrate his life instead of focus on his death”, declared the boy’s parents.
In addition, the family has also announced that the teenager’s memorial will be live-streamed on Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT. This way, those who were fond of Caleb can participate in the ceremony and celebrate the teenager’s life, no matter how far they may be.
A previously unreleased video featuring the young boy was also made public, so that the world can remember him healthy, happy and “doing what he loved”.
