As the technology advances, the tech industry is always looking to diversify, improve its gadgets, or come up with new ones. More recently, though, wireless headphones seem to turn most people’s heads. With Apple’s failure to launch the AirPods together with the jack-less iPhone 7, as previously announced, Bragi takes full advantage and started to roll out The Headphone wireless earbuds.
Previously, the company has announced that it is going to launch a pair of earphones complete with motion sensors, fitness tracking, and touch controls. However, wireless headphones manufacturers all around experience a wide range of connectivity issues, most often than not. Furthermore, power in these tiny devices is also lacking, especially when talking about battery life.
Wireless earphones owners are already acquainted with the troubles of using the cordless gadgets on an everyday basis. Place your hand over the phone’s antennas or bury it too deep in the pockets and you will experience multiple connection drops or risk getting the earphones out of sync. The wireless earbuds are also aimed for the fitness enthusiasts. However, swing your arms too violently or too far, and you will start to look for your equipment on the ground. Or once again, be cut off from your playlist.
Apple has been delaying the AirPods launch for a time now, without any updates on the matter. On the company’s official website, however, the AirPods are listed as “coming soon”. Apple did not address the public on the matter, yet. However, some people, among several who are familiar with the AirPods development say that Apple is taking the time to make sure the wireless earphones are fully functional before hitting the shelves, free of the aforementioned issues.
Nevertheless, Bragi has taken advantage of the situation and rolled out The Headphone wireless earbuds. Coming in ten dollars cheaper than the AirPods, the $149 The Headphone features on-device controls and four pairs of rubber ear tips to fit any size. However, the on-device controls may be irritating, at most, for some people, when adjusting the music volume. Also, Bragi describes them as “sweatproof”, rather than full-on waterproof. However, all in all, the latest wireless earphones released by Bragi will make for serious competition for the upcoming AirPods.
