This week, we found out that the Uncharted 4 game would not be released until May, which is a couple of weeks postponing from its previous April 27 release. Sony’s US representatives say that the culprit for this is the high demand of the fans and the longer period is going toward creating more units to cover all pre-orders.
As many already know from the gaming media, Naughty Dog’s experts are responsible for the overall production of the new game from its Uncharted series. The sequel will be back on track and into development phase later these weeks, according to some posts published on Sony PlayStation Blog.
While attempting to fulfill the large global pre-orders and to make sure that players from all over the globe have the chance to play this game since day one, the company has decided to delay the release of the title with 14 days to offer an additional production time.
This is not the first case when the game is postponed from a previously organized launch. In fact, the sequel was planned to be released during the holiday season in Dec, but the requirements for more features set it back with a few months.
Another waiting time followed, with the publisher stating a similar necessity for more chances to enhance the sequel. That second launch move is what placed the game to the April 27 launch announced these weeks.
The new postponing arrives at a very short time after the designer said that during next days will play a variety of multi-player stress tests for Uncharted 4. Anyone that operates the PlayStation 4 console, even people without the PlayStation Plus registration, can test the mission’s exciting multi-player missions for free.
The positive aspect is that the game seems to be nearly completed, so according to the producer at least these setbacks are related to the public demand. Uncharted represents one of the major titles for Sony, so it is no surprise that the publisher wants to ensure that latest sequel, which is apparently Nathan Drake’s last adventure, ends up right.
This postponement will provide players a little more time to choose which edition of this game to purchase. Besides the regular $60 edition of the series, a pair of different collector’s versions will be offered.
