United Nation Presented a report which states that pollution will reach to an unstoppable level in 2070.
It is the fifth report that United Nation presented on the subject of carbon emission. ”. It demonstrates the difference in the total reduction of carbon emission promised in a U.N agreement with the actual requirement of carbon emission. Researchers entitled the report as “The Emission Gap Report 2014”
As per the reports, Greenhouse gas emission has increased up to 45 percent since last 25 years. The rapid rise in the level of greenhouse effect makes it more difficult for United Nation to attain its yearly goal. The principal aim of United Nation is to reduce the average temperature to 2 degree Celsius ahead of the Industrial Revolution.
Achim Steiner, the lead author of the report informed that any action from the concerned authorities will certainly decrease the chances of unmanageable future carbon emission. Therefore, human beings should set an aim for global carbon neutrality in order to avoid worst climate changes.
Carbon net neutrality means to balance a measured amount of carbon emission with an equal amount of compensation for it. For instance, if a company produces certain carbon gases then it should seed enough plants which can absorb that quantity of carbon emission.
U.N board of climate scientists presented a report which predicts that carbon neutrality will attain in between 2055 to 2070.
Moreover, the researchers notified that carbon goals are way more challenging as compared to the minor objectives that U.N summit created in Paris.
The U.N summit intends to settle an agreement to decrease flood, heat waves, rising sea levels and other powerful storms.
