Finally, Microsoft decides to formally announce the latest version of Windows, spotlighting aspects and capacities of interest to the enterprise customers, which bring the company’s profit every year, officials told later today at a private press event.
In my opinion, today’s event seems to be a narration of the actual company’s road map, with slight jerks intended at appeasing an ever more agitated base.
Though, I would expect much more from the Microsoft executives in terms of highly organized event like this one will go of-script along with the addition of few things that really matters. For instance; “We have got this ‘rapid update’ thing functioning more efficiently.”
Certainly, the stress to provide new features and capacities at the speed of Internet is taking its levy on every significant platform. In the previous months, when Microsoft was vigor to drag several updates, Apple failed with its iOS 8 update poorly. Also, currently *nix-based Operating system is looking for the ways to find out what to do with the Shellshock susceptibility.
Usually, most of the enterprise customers try to avoid updates and this is one of the reasons that why Microsoft XP survived to live so many years from its start-up date. That’s why the latest update issues are possibly giving that group more ammo.
So, what’s the solution to this problem? Microsoft would need to find out a way in order to keep most of its customers progressing at the new rapid pace whereas not scaring off the conventional business buyers who are paying lot of bills.
No doubt, Microsoft has had extensive experience in order to support multiple versions of its software. Now, here the trick is to move that user base from 4 to 5 software updates to 1 to 2 or max 3.
Though, it’s not a strange challenge. Lots of open-source projects are doing this, especially Firefox and Chrome. On the other hand, Ubuntu has managed the idea of long term support version, too.
We are Structuring a Plausible Market in Mobile Devices, Microsoft Stated
So, here comes the Microsoft’s new goal to be like Apple in terms of mobile devices.
Well, I am not talking about the contemporary Apple that is selling millions of iPhones and iPads per quarter. But I’m talking about the old Apple, which actually has coped to achieve its mission in spite of having an installed base of less than 100 million Macs, or approximately 6% of all PCs in use.
Though, with the progressive increase in Mac’s sale over the period of last 10 years, Apple has succeeded to survive with the single-digit market share.
No Need to Worry About Internet Explorer
Now you don’t have to be anxious about Internet Explorer anymore. Once there was a time when Internet Explorer was considered to be the only browser, but after some time and with technological advancement Internet Explorer lost its monopoly, and was overtaken by different Explorers like Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome which are more advanced and up to date than IE.
The up to date versions of Internet Explorer are much more competent and innovative as compared to other browsers. But this newer version also faces compatibility headaches, which include benevolent neglect and unfriendliness from web developers. Today’s web didn’t built for or even tested on Internet Explorer, other browsers like Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome are used preferably.
I really don’t know about the future of IE, may be a future windows have the capability of giving people a choice of third party rendering engines which may include Chromium’s Blink, Firefox’s Gecko, and it is also possible that these browsers are sated as default Windows browsers, thus squashing compatibility problems of IE to an end with a single blow.
In fact, the Internet Browser is not considered to be a primary browser anymore but is used for some of the important installations only. Now we have made it easy for you all to adapt your business enterprise apps. Today the average enterprise runs on hundred or even thousands of apps, most of them written for Windows or we can say that for becoming more accurate, written for the Windows desktop APIs. These apps are surely being phased out, with their replacements running in a web browser or in a modern, sandboxed OS running on a touch enabled device.
Now it’s Easy to Adapt your Enterprise Apps
Most of the devices are running Windows 8 or 9 or successor versions. The new Windows has built its good reputation just because of an army or developers, and we really thank them for this. And now these writers are writing for nothing but Windows and this is a problem. And it is a fact that, your workers aren’t going to groan when they see the Windows logo.
There is lot of rumors about the next version of Windows. But, all these rumors hide the actual problem with Windows which is its Brand image.
IT advantages in enterprise jobs, this new Window has still a measure of respect. But, Windows brand name is dishonored among consumers. Increasingly, these consumers are making the decisions about which devices they will use to access corporate services. Putting the Start menu back for the next version of Windows and making it more like Windows 7 can only strengthen the idea that this is a inheritance OS, with an unclear future.
