Apple is including a new ad structure that will let promoters to share all their articles together with regular information in its Apple News services, according to an internal paper circulating in the company.
The subsidized content will be displayed in the users’ news feeds like all other articles that people open the application to read about. The only distinction between subsidized content and regular material will be the small brand saying “Sponsored” under the post.
Already some marketers are permitted to place advertisements inside their articles. The iPhone manufacturer also lets promoters to share subsidized posts, but only if they are clearly labeled as sponsored.
Such posts will appear for a short time though due to the overflow of new content that is released later. Nevertheless, marketers will not encounter the same issue with the recent ad feature as this will let paid articles to be noticeable and likely stay on top of the app’s news feeds.
Apple’s ad segment will probably position the subsidized content so that it can be available for smaller marketers too as soon as possible. The papers shared by tech media show different ad formats for Apple News, adding a recent “Native Banners” functions.
These advertisements can appear directly in its news feeds with bits of information content. Native advertisements are shown straight in the news feed, in line with News content and are meant to be combined with their related articles.
They may be displayed in the standard typeface utilized in News, as the papers mention. The company also appears to be ready to allow marketers to generate income via its Apple News platform. Promoters will maybe be permitted to place content behind their pay wall gradually.
Then, if visitors want to learn more about the content, they may be required to sign up for it, revealed the tech experts. The media creators that currently collaborate with the phone manufacturer can either submit their content free or publish excerpts of this material.
That will prompt visitors to sign into their sites to see its remaining parts, as the review says. The primary factor is that Apple will generate serious income when marketers start earning their dollars, as it sets a share for the subscriptions. In some situations, a slice of ad earnings will do the job, but there has been no feedback from Apple regarding the recent ad structure thus far.
