Magic leap, a Florida based company is trying hard to create an advance virtual reality system along with augmented reality.
A few months ago, Google and a few other tech companies gave around $542 million as fund money to the company
Recently, Neal Stephenson who is a popular sci-fi writer has been included in the firm. The company joined hands with Stephenson in order to capture the imagination of people.
Stephenson is popular for his classics like Snow Crash and Cryptonomicon. In Stephenson’s latest blog post he unveils that he would get the title of “Chief Futurist”. Undoubtedly, the title seems as ambiguous as the primary goal of the company.
Moreover, the author informed that Magic Leap’s employment procedure is pretty unique as compared to the other tech firms. The company called the author and gave a demonstration of its latest technologies such as the sword from “Lord of the Rings”, Orcrist the Globen-clever and many more.
Additionally, Stephenson said that the firm is like a collection of new techniques. These methods are utilized to release a synthesized light field which functions as the light works in reality. The feature will certainly gain the attention of a large number of gamers, learners, scientists and artists.
The famous author will work with the company in a theoretical manner instead of technical. He will work along with the rest of the prominent employees of the company like Rony Abovitz and Richard Taylor. Abovitz is the ex-head of an innovative medical device company known as MAKO Surgical. In comparison, Taylor used to work in WETA Workshop which is a special effect and prop company.
