One of the renowned physicist in the United Kingdom states that the ‘God Particle’ might collapse under high pressure which leads to the end of universe. Now the question arises, if Professor Hawking is right, then everyone on earth could be living for a limited time.
The internationally famed physicist states in his new book that the Higgs Boson-also known as ‘God Particle’ might be unstable due to expected high pressures. He actually claims that, when this Higgs Boson collapse, the entire universe ended. Professor Hawking says that the ‘God Particle’ has the worrisome feature that it might become meta-stable at energies above 100bn gigaelectronvolts (GeV). So, this means that the universe should suffer catastrophic vacuum decay, with a bubble of the true vacuum expanding at the speed of light. This could happen at any time and we wouldn’t see it coming.
This particle physics theory was verified two years ago experiments at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Switzerland after being forecasted by British scientist Peter Higgs in the 1960s. The LHC uses electromagnetic fields to blast particles at high speed making them change direction and causing them to collide with each other resulting in the creation of the subatomic particle also known as ‘God Particles.
Moreover, if any one of you thinks that the entire destruction of Universe is imminent then Professor Hawking does have a jokey response to his preannouncement: “A particle accelerator that reaches 100bn GeV would be larger than Earth, and is unlikely to be funded in the present economic climate.”
