An independent test proved that it is not easy to bend and the smart phones from Apple’s competitors are in fact easier to bend, Consumer Reports have rushed out an extremely scientific report that confirms that you can’t bend an iPhone 6 plus just by keeping it in a tight pants pocket.
The independent product testing corporation inspected both new iPhone 6 models with the help of Instron compression test machine against smart phones from Samsung, LG, and HTC and they figure out that it requires loads of force to permanently bend one of these latest iPhones.”
The independent company checked both the 6 and the 6 Plus, next to with the Galaxy Note 3, the LG G3, the HTC One M8, and the iPhone 5S, starting by applying 10 pounds of force for 3 seconds to see how much force it took to bend the body and how much force to take cause enough of a bend to pull the display away from the body.
It is true that the latest iPhones 6 are not as physically powerful as the smaller iPhone 5, which took 130 pounds of force before it bent, they’re still very strong and maintain to bounce back up to 70 pounds of forces and on the on other side the 6 Plus, as it turns out, is more flexible than the smaller version, and didn’t become lastingly deformed until it got to 90 pounds of force.
On the base of this test report, Apple states that the bending incident of latest IPhone is very unusual, and that only nine iPhone 6 Plus consumers reported such bending in the first six days of the phone’s release, but now we have a third party who’s done some fair testing of our latest product.
However, it is correct that the Android phones are stronger enough, and can take over 130 pounds of force before bending or breaking.
