What The Enterprise Expecting from Microsoft? Windows 10?

October 2, 2014 By Rebecca McGhee Leave a Comment

enterprise

Finally, Microsoft decides to formally announce the latest version of Windows, spotlighting aspects and capacities of interest to the enterprise customers, which bring the company’s profit every year, officials told later today at a private press event.

In my opinion, today’s event seems to be a narration of the actual company’s road map, with slight jerks intended at appeasing an ever more agitated base.

Though, I would expect much more from the Microsoft executives in terms of highly organized event like this one will go of-script along with the addition of few things that really matters. For instance; “We have got this ‘rapid update’ thing functioning more efficiently.”

Certainly, the stress to provide new features and capacities at the speed of Internet is taking its levy on every significant platform. In the previous months, when Microsoft was vigor to drag several updates, Apple failed with its iOS 8 update poorly. Also, currently *nix-based Operating system is looking for the ways to find out what to do with the Shellshock susceptibility.

Usually, most of the enterprise customers try to avoid updates and this is one of the reasons that why Microsoft XP survived to live so many years from its start-up date. That’s why the latest update issues are possibly giving that group more ammo.

So, what’s the solution to this problem? Microsoft would need to find out a way in order to keep most of its customers progressing at the new rapid pace whereas not scaring off the conventional business buyers who are paying lot of bills.

No doubt, Microsoft has had extensive experience in order to support multiple versions of its software. Now, here the trick is to move that user base from 4 to 5 software updates to 1 to 2 or max 3.

Though, it’s not a strange challenge. Lots of open-source projects are doing this, especially Firefox and Chrome. On the other hand, Ubuntu has managed the idea of long term support version, too.

We are Structuring a Plausible Market in Mobile Devices, Microsoft Stated

So, here comes the Microsoft’s new goal to be like Apple in terms of mobile devices.

Well, I am not talking about the contemporary Apple that is selling millions of iPhones and iPads per quarter. But I’m talking about the old Apple, which actually has coped to achieve its mission in spite of having an installed base of less than 100 million Macs, or approximately 6% of all PCs in use.

Though, with the progressive increase in Mac’s sale over the period of last 10 years, Apple has succeeded to survive with the single-digit market share.

No Need to Worry About Internet Explorer

Now you don’t have to be anxious about Internet Explorer anymore. Once there was a time when Internet Explorer was considered to be the only browser, but after some time and with technological advancement Internet Explorer lost its monopoly, and was overtaken by different Explorers like Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome which are more advanced and up to date than IE.

The up to date versions of Internet Explorer are much more competent and innovative as compared to other browsers. But this newer version also faces compatibility headaches, which include benevolent neglect and unfriendliness from web developers. Today’s web didn’t built for or even tested on Internet Explorer, other browsers like Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome are used preferably.

I really don’t know about the future of IE, may be a future windows have the capability of giving people a choice of third party rendering engines which may include Chromium’s Blink, Firefox’s Gecko, and it is also possible that these browsers are sated as default Windows browsers, thus squashing compatibility problems of IE to an end with a single blow.

In fact, the Internet Browser is not considered to be a primary browser anymore but is used for some of the important installations only. Now we have made it easy for you all to adapt your business enterprise apps. Today the average enterprise runs on hundred or even thousands of apps, most of them written for Windows or we can say that for becoming more accurate, written for the Windows desktop APIs. These apps are surely being phased out, with their replacements running in a web browser or in a modern, sandboxed OS running on a touch enabled device.

Now it’s Easy to Adapt your Enterprise Apps

Most of the devices are running Windows 8 or 9 or successor versions. The new Windows has built its good reputation just because of an army or developers, and we really thank them for this. And now these writers are writing for nothing but Windows and this is a problem. And it is a fact that, your workers aren’t going to groan when they see the Windows logo.

There is lot of rumors about the next version of Windows. But, all these rumors hide the actual problem with Windows which is its Brand image.

IT advantages in enterprise jobs, this new Window has still a measure of respect. But, Windows brand name is dishonored among consumers. Increasingly, these consumers are making the decisions about which devices they will use to access corporate services. Putting the Start menu back for the next version of Windows and making it more like Windows 7 can only strengthen the idea that this is a inheritance OS, with an unclear future.

According to the news, Apple has been forced to remove the first update of iOS 8, just over a week after the release of its newest mobile operating system.
Apple said in an announcement that we have collected reports of a problem with the iOS 8.0.1 update and we are enthusiastically examining these reports and will give information as fast as we can.

The iOS 8.0.1 update was expected at fixing the wireless connectivity, power utilization and other difficulties of iOS 8, but was quiet within hours because of new troubles of its own that is why the company has now assured that it will release iOS 8.0.2 in the “next few days” to repair this trouble and bring back the patches that were believed to come in iOS 8.0.1.

Apple removed its newest operating system because several consumer claims so many problems after downloading the software, as well their iPhones no longer linking to a cellular network, with a note of “no service and iPhone holders also reported problems with Touch ID after downloading the update, with a few noting that the feature, which permits people to unlock their phones using their fingerprints was no longer working.

Apple doesn’t offer an excuse though possibly should, particularly for people who might have installed the update and don’t have the tech know-how to do a full restore to an earlier version of iOS 8 and Apple also informs that after relapsing to iOS 8 you’ll discover that the Health app will no longer work. That’s a reasonable deal for Touch ID and the capability to place phone calls.

But it’s a fact that regardless of any software problems, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus models has sold very quickly and more than 10 million sets were sold in the first weekend of its release, while Apple fans looked excited to pick up one of the two models. Generally, economic analysts think the company will persist, but need to put additional efforts for stable its place.

Moreover, keys are not hoarded off of the device, so they could not be distributed with law enforcement. He further added that, as per our next Android launch, encryption would be allowed by default out of the box. Thus you don’t even need to turn it on.

Since 2011, Encryption is being presented on most of the Android devices, though it allows the users to activate it manually.

But presently, Google is allowing its users the auto-encryption function. So, the upcoming devices are up with the Android L OS (Operating System) would come with the automatically enabled encryption functionality.

The Apple latest iOS 8 that was released recently on Wednesday in preparation of the iPhone 6 launch today also has auto-encryption method that prevent Apple to access user data.

Encryption that are firstly revealed by Apple and now by Google signify that it would be quite difficult for the law enforcement agencies to way in the smartphones data without the consent of user’s pass code, either they would come up with the valid warrant to do so.

According to the latest privacy policy revealed this Wednesday, “I contrast to our rivals; we could not access the user’s pass code and thus would not access user data too. September 17, 2014 By Jason Leathers Leave a Comment

installation-of-ios-8

September 16- The latest software iOS 8 comprises dozens of innovative features, including a number of productivity tweaks, stability between iPhones, iPads, and Macs, and a bevy of business-ready features designed to attract consumers and venture users alike.

As predictable, these details were verified at the company’s annual iPhone launch event that the iOS 8 updates will available for iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina Display, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, and iPod touch fifth-generation users on September 17th, today, and just a couple of days before the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release date that’s set for Friday.

There are causes to be excited about the iOS 8 update, but there’s also a huge bundle of, reason to hold off and wait for another day, we take a look at some reasons why your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch consumers might want to think about holding out when tomorrow’s iOS 8 release arrives.

1. Nearly all apps will perform correctly, but the full experience won’t land just yet

The huge bulk of iPhone and iPad app developers will have used iOS 8 long before it was widely released on Wednesday that gives them sufficient time to make sure their apps and services run with the newest software, with the advantages of the new features and developer hooks.

But a few apps will drop behind the curve and not work or unsuccessful to appear in the update list because of an incompatibility issue. Apple endorses every app before it can be uploaded to the App Store but may be some apps can be jammed in this queue for weeks.

2. Upgrading will destroy your jailbreak

If you are an iPhone and iPad users who is jailbroken on iOS 7.1 or below, you must stay away from updating to iOS 8 in order to keep their gadget jailbroken. While iOS 8 will get several features that should be attractive to those of you that have used a jailbreak on your iphone gadgets, there are still some huge reasons to stay on jailbroken for the time being.

There’s just about no doubt many security specialists and hackers will be working vigorously on it from the moment they land their hands on the latest software, but it’s still not clear when developers will release an iOS 8 jailbreak for iPhone and iPad but there’s a superior chance that a release is weeks if not months away. Details remain in the shadows and it’s probable that they’ll remain that way until the release.

3. Early installers may face a few bugs

There’s slightly no doubt that, with Apple’s customer base reaching into the hundreds of millions of users worldwide, iOS 8 will be of an extremely high quality, but even up to the last minute, the technology massive will be working out flaws, bugs, and quirks in the cell phone software and in some cases, Apple will even call it predictable behavior even if it doesn’t seem like it.

In fact, it is possibile that those who upgrade on the first day may over time experience a few problems or faults, which are usually addressed in minor iterative updates over the coming weeks and months and it could lead some customers annoyed by the slow update process.

4. Work phone? Just wait for your IT department approval

Apple has incorporated a number of venture-focused features, as well as strong passcodes, VIP message threads, roaming policies, and the newest government-grade encryption standards, but a few business users may not be permitted to upgrade to the new software until an IT administrator or chief information officer approves the software.

Various IT departments avoid latest versions until all the bugs are ironed out, or awaiting a better, more secure version of the software is released so if you upgrade without permission from work, you could even find your device barred from use on the corporate network.

5. Older gadgets may slow your phone’s performance

Even though, iOS 8 is compatible with iPhone 4s and later, iPad 2 and later, and iPad mini and later generation but unfortunately, several users ran into a range of issues, including performance problems so it is and there’s a possibility it could cause a few problems for older gadgets.

If you desire to play it secure, you can take a wait till tomorrow and see approach and wait for evaluating results from guinea pigs, also recognized as your fellow iPhone and iPad customers.

6. Simply stay away from iOS 8 installation crises

We approximately constantly see installation problems occur on iOS release dates, whichever due to Apple server problems or due to other faults that pop up during the installation process, just wait for one day so there’s a very good chance to avoid all the errors will pop up during the iOS 8 release day.
