Older Versions of the iPad Cannot Be Activated on iOS 9.3

March 23, 2016 By Jason Leathers Leave a Comment

ipad-2 appleApple’s new edition of its cellular OS is causing complications for some users of old iPads. These devices are not able to set up the iOS 9.3 platform and are running very slow during the initial stage. This means that the upgrade results in them being unusable, according to content from Apple’s assistance team website, Twitter posts on the company’s official page and visitors of various Apple-focused boards.

The problems seems to have an impact especially on iPad 2, after specialists noticed that owners are getting verification error alerts when they attempt to activate the iPad post-set up. No matter the period over which a new gadget is examined before is launched in the market, various issues can appear once it discovers the way to large numbers of customers.

As usual, the problem for this producer is to determine how persistent the thing is or how to take care of it fast enough, without affecting more customers. In 2014, Apple encountered a series of serious issues with its iOS 8, a platform that was reputed as being volatile and pressured the company to release a bundle of bug solutions.

The new problem could be caused by over-worked web servers having difficulties to work with a huge number of users who are trying to set up the new program. But numerous iPad customers have not been able to activate the tablets after a whole day of waiting, according to experts.

This delay indicates a different kind of issue affecting the devices. One user on Apple’s assistance site wrote that after setting up the 9.3 version, his iPad did not start despite numerous attempts to do so. He tried all sorts of recommendations from various sources and none of them worked in the first place.

Later, he went to Apple’s local store nearby, but the personal there was not capable to activate the IPad nor recover its data. Some iPad users said that they were capable to solve the bug by linking their gadgets to the iTunes app, while others affirmed they performed a complete restore on their tablets.

People who have older iPad version, particularly iPad 2, might want to delay to upgrade to iOS v9.3 until the issue is solved. If the users proceed with the upgrade, they have to first link to iPad to iCloud or a computer so all information is stored in the case of a sudden glitch between different software.
